Privacy notice
Last updated 12 October 2026
the person who runs this AutoPOD runs AutoPOD and is responsible for your personal data (the "controller" under UK data protection law).
Contact: the support contact on the sign-in page.
What we collect
- Your account: username, email, a scrambled (hashed) version of your password, your plan, and when you signed up and last signed in.
- Your store: your brand settings, designs, slogans, listings text, settings, and the tokens you connect for Printify, Etsy and
social accounts (stored privately on our server, never shown back in the app).
- Use: how many designs, AI images and posts your account used each month (for plan limits), questions you ask the Help chat,
and a log of sign-ins and account changes.
We don't sell your data, show you adverts or use tracking or analytics cookies.
Why we use it (and the legal basis)
- To run AutoPOD for you and keep your account working (performing our contract with you).
- To keep the service secure, stop misuse, and improve the guides from Help questions (our legitimate interests).
- To keep records the law requires, such as for tax once payments start (legal obligation).
Who else handles it
Only the companies needed to do what you ask:
- Hetzner (Germany/Finland): the server AutoPOD runs on.
- OpenAI and Google (Gemini) (USA): design ideas, artwork, slogans and image checks. They receive the prompts and
pictures for your designs, not your account details.
- Printify, Etsy, Meta (Instagram, Facebook), Pinterest: only the accounts you connect, to make products,
publish listings and post.
- Resend (USA): sends password reset emails.
Where data goes outside the UK, these companies use recognised safeguards (such as the UK International Data Transfer
Addendum or the UK-US data bridge).
Cookies
One cookie keeps you signed in. It's strictly necessary, so there's no cookie banner. The app may save small preferences (like
having seen the tour) in your browser.
How long we keep it
- While your account is open.
- When you close it, we delete your store and account within 30 days; nightly backups roll over within 7 days after that.
- Payment and tax records (once payments start) are kept as long as the law requires, usually 6 years.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, to correct it, to delete it, to move it, or to object to or restrict how we use it. Email
the support contact on the sign-in page; we'll reply within a month. If you're unhappy with how we handle your data you can complain to the Information
Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk, 0303 123 1113).
Security
Passwords are hashed, the site uses HTTPS, sign-in cookies can't be read by the page's scripts, each store's data is kept
separate, and keys are stored in private files on the server.
Changes
If we change this notice in a way that matters, we'll tell you in the app or by email.
